People can heave a sigh of relief as India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday did not issue any fresh warning for heavy rainfall in the state over the next four days. However, the IMD has forecast fairly widespread rainfall in the state on October 3 and 4.

Water pumps to be airlifted by Airforce to drain out water in Patna: Bihar BJP president Sanjay Jaiswal
Bihar BJP has suspended all party programmes in the flood-hit state, including capital Patna due to heavy downpour. Bihar BJP President Sanjay Jaiswal told ANI that several water pumps that were used in Madhya Pradesh coal mines to drain out water will be airlifted by Airforce in Patna to clear waterlogging.
NDRF deploys 19 teams in 14 districts of Bihar to tackle floods
An official statement from NDRF headquarters in Delhi said, "NDRF has deployed its 19 teams in 14 districts of Bihar. Five teams are operational at Patna, two are deployed at Bhagalpur and one team each at Buxar, Munger, Begusarai, Gopalganj, Kishanganj, Katihar, Khagaria, Madhubani, Supaul, Vaishali, Araria and Darbhanga."
